PokeRivals is a free web game made by fans, with no ads, no purchases and no commercial relationship of any kind. It is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Nintendo, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK inc. or The Pokémon Company.

Pokémon and the names, characters and designs of the Pokémon are registered trademarks and property of © Nintendo / Creatures Inc. / GAME FREAK inc. They are used here only as a tribute and without profit. If you hold any of these rights and want something removed, write to ivandanker93@gmail.com and it will be removed.

Sprites

The animated Pokémon sprites come from SpriteCollab (PMDCollab), a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon community project, under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license: non-commercial use with credit to their authors. The original Pokémon Mystery Dungeon sprites are by Spike Chunsoft. Below is the credit for each species as SpriteCollab publishes it; authors appear under the name they use there.

The gym trainer sprites (leaders, Elite Four and their trainers) are from the Pokémon games (© Nintendo / Creatures / GAME FREAK), as served by Pokémon Showdown; they are used without profit, like the rest of the franchise material.

The stadium backgrounds and the silhouettes of the player's trainers and their rivals were made for this project. The move effects are drawn in code.

Fonts

Press Start 2P (CodeMan38; modified and renamed PokeRivals Start), Oxanium (Severin Meyer) and Atkinson Hyperlegible Next (Braille Institute of America), all under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. The licenses ship alongside each font on the site.

Game data

Types, stats and moves come from PokéAPI, under its own data licenses.
